Emmett's Mother was definitely sucsessful in utilizing her son's death in order to fight against what took her son. NAACP membership soared. Millions were outraged by what happened to Emmett till. Till-Mobley never wanted her son to be a Martyr. But when he was killed, she embarked on a crucade, one that eventually brought segregation to its knees.
